1. What is the difference between Icing Color Gel, Paste Concentrate & FonDust?
As shown in above image, Icing Color Gel is an entry level food color for water based products like fondant and whipping cream.
Paste Concentrate is more concentrated compared to Icing Color Gel and is absolutely water free. They are pre-dispersed like Icing Color Gel and therefore easy to mix. FonDust (Icing Powder Dust) are most intense form of colors. Slight amount is enough to color entire mass of fondant and whipping cream in dark shades. FonDust are more intense compared to Icing Color Gel and Paste Concentrate. FonDust is in Powder form so good mixing is needed to ensure uniform shade.
2. What is the difference between Whipping Colors & FonDust?
Whipping Colors and FonDust are almost similar in intensity of shades but both are formulated to give best results in Whipping cream and Fondant respectively. Whipping Colors are ideal for whipping cream and FonDust are best suited for fondant, gumpaste and flower-paste.
3. What is the difference between Oil Candy Color & Oil Powder Color?
As shown in above image, Oil Candy Color is an entry level food color for oil based products like chocolate and chocolate compounds.
Oil Candy Color is pre-dispersed and therefore easy to mix. Oil Powder Food Color are most intense form of colors. Slight amount is enough to color entire mass of chocolate and chocolate compound in dark shades. Oil Powder Food Colors are more intense compared to Oil Candy Color. Oil Powder Food Color is in Powder form so good mixing is needed to ensure uniform shade.
